What were you trying to burn? Apparently, some problem in my CD/DVD drive makes loading of burnt file very very slowly.Impatience often prompts to eject the medium before the job is complete. I have read some of the comments above but am not sure what you are talking about with upper and lower filters. I had a lot of small, buggy issues with various programs and functions so I decided to roll back to Windows 7 after 3 weeks--except it didn't work. I ran the MS Fix and it seems to be working fine now.
basically I was using vista home premium 64bit, I bought the windows 7 home premium upgrade and installed it as an upgrade over Vista. the lowerfilter thing is missing and I've tried some other things too but no luck. Do you have a fix? You may already have the DVD.
Most solutions are hit or miss. The security on my laptop was a mess with both McAfee and Norton Anti-virus causing problems. That still did not work and I've received no further response after four days upon sending them a copy of my receipt and proof of purchase. If the drive fails the test, replace the drive or have the computer serviced.
