What is does is create fresh volume shadow copies of the source partitions as one of the initial steps in the process, and then it clones from the volume shadow copies. I still don't know why or how the cloning procedure altered the source drive, but I don't care anymore. Easeus Todo Backup Free Usually can't boot AHCI when I use a USB 2.0 plugin to setup a drive. I recently gained a new 256GB SSD which I want to make the new boot drive. The difference that I see is that Reflect makes burning a rescue DVD within the program easy. Please keep this option checked, because it can largely increase performance of SSD. My thanks to the folks who responded.
