I hope this illuminates things. I am experiencing the same problem. Please try the request again. But if I click them for a second time immediately, they won't work.

Occasionally the setup goes haywire and I found that fiddling with the nView settings for sndvol32 eventually resolved the problem. Trying to see which one will work, so I decided to try yours on one of my customer's computer with this same issue.
