UPDATE: 2011-feb-02 The driver update to not work. When the system detects APM support, Windows will reset the SuspendFlag entry in the Registry. Given how widespread this is (I'm running a netbook) maybe microsoft will come up with a fix. I had toflash the bios on the particular laptop to the newest version in order to show these options, so that may be worth looking into.

Actually the 2.00 bios update prevented Windows from booting. My Laptop Is Hibernating By Itself I would do check disk for all the disks you have especially system disk c:\ (under windows explorer, right click on c:\ properties then tools, check disk for errors, check both System Info: Dell Latitude E6410, Windows 7 Professional x64, NVidia NVS3100M.

solution Inspiron 1545 goes to sleep and doesn't wake back up unless I turn it completely off. Did not work for me. I'd really be greatful. Failing that, I do a hard power cycle which Windows 7 does not like.
