Since you already did a reinstall it's likely a memory issue.And before you say you ran the memory test, they are UTTERLY worthless. this content mainly cause some games just refuse to alt tab at all.Still, this activity should not be causing BSOD's.....

So I always run games in a window, either Full Screen Windowed, Windowed Maximized or just regular windowed mode (if nothing else is available.)
February 9, 2014 Henry Lahman Haven't seen This means you can squeeze the most gaming performance out of your graphics hardware by running the game in full-screen mode, and that's why games run in full-screen mode by default. It's not just pressing Alt+Tab that's a problem -- pressing the Windows key may do the same thing, as it takes you out of the game and back to the Windows
